なるほど、自己満足と自己陶酔の朗読会とはそのとおりだと思う。記事の中から、引用されている荒川の言葉だけを抜き出してみよう。

　詩の世界から批判がほとんど消えた。互いに傷つきたくないから論争は避け、仲間同士で支えあっている。1970年代の終わりまで、僕は何を書いても徹底的に批判された。批判こそが元気のもとだった。

　文字言語を選び、闘ってきた詩にとって朗読は自殺行為だ。朗読を意識したら詩の言語が甘くなる。すぐれた詩には文字の中に豊かな音楽性があり、それで十分。文字を通して音楽性を感じる力が弱まったから声で演じたくなる。文字言語を通して考え、味わう力を詩人が捨てたら詩に未来はない。朗読はやめて討論しよう。

（東日本大震災の後に書かれた震災詩の一部についても詩の言語が軽いと断じて）大量の、しまりのない、たれながしの、ただ饒舌としか思えない詩が書かれ、文学『特需』ともいう自体を引きおこした。詩の被災だ。
